FAQ's

How does the test work?

Once you’ve placed your order, we will send you a kit containing everything you will need to collect your own blood sample. This involves a simple finger prick collection method using a sterilised lancet, which you can do in the comfort of your own home.

All that is left to do is send off your sample to the testing lab in a pre-paid envelope provided and then wait for your results.

How long does it take to get my result?

Once the testing lab receives your sample, they will send an email notification within 48 hours which will allow you to securely access your results.

How do I access my results?

Once the sample is received at the lab, an email will be
sent to you with a link that allows you to view your test results
confidentially on a secure dashboard.

The dashboard is created during registration of the kit, and
you can log in using the email address that you used to register the kit.

Once you’ve logged into your dashboard, click ‘view’ next to
your blood test, this will take you to view your results (see image below):

You can then scroll down to see the result for each biomarker. Please click the arrows next to each biomarker to help interpret your result:

What is the best method to get enough blood?

We recommend ensuring that your hands are warm before you
start as this will increase blood flow to your fingertips. You might also find
it useful massage your finger upwards (towards the tip). Your middle or ring
finger may be the best fingers to prick.

I can’t draw enough blood and have used all the spare lancets provided, what should I do?

If you cannot fill the tube to the marked line on the side, please contact us. Do not send your sample off as it is, the lab will not be able to test the sample and it will not be possible to provide results.

Fasting may be required for certain blood tests as various
biomarkers may be affected by the intake of food and drink. If you need to fast
before taking the test, instructions will be provided for that specific test,
such as the Diabetes Test.

What are the rules for fasting?

Don’t eat anything for 8 hours before collecting your sample
– it is recommended to take a test first thing in the morning before your first
